A Canterbury timber merchant, Mr Harold Ernest Otley, died in Christchurch recently, aged 75.
Mr Otley had a long association with the Canterbury Timber Merchants Association, of which he was president and a life member. He was also honorary life member of the New Zealand Timber Merchants Federation.
He was also president of the New Zealand Door Manufacturers Association, president of the New Zealand Timber Industry Union of Employers, a council member of the Canterbury Employers Association and a member of the council of the Canterbury Manufacturers Association.
